Pretty Pillows

With wedding season off to a great start, I thought I’d share one of the many wedding cakes I’ve been working on this Spring.

Josie and Mike came to me with clear theme in mind for their wedding cake, and wanted their vision to come to life in the form of a cake that looked like stacked pillows. The top and bottom pillows had a diamond tufted look to them, and the middle pillow had a black filigree design. The cake board has a draped fabric look to it, which complemented the theme. Soft pink roses and a silver monogram topper completed the elegant yet modern look of this cake.

I definitely love making wedding cakes like this, as it shows that you can have a modern and fun twist on a classic wedding cake!
